Supporting Communities Overseas
Helping one child, one family and one community at a time.

Our work in Haiti came from a simple idea: if we can use our skills to make equipment work better for someone in a difficult situation, we should do that. Over time that turned into repeated trips, hard work, and a commitment to helping kids move with more freedom.
We did not go because everything was easy. We went because the need was real and because the people we could help were worth the effort.
“If I can make one child’s life better, the trip is worthwhile.”

“Our trips to Haiti started around 2008/2009… we intended to go anyway.”

“It was easy to see how affected Al was by going and volunteering… He knew we could help so we went again and again.”
“These children are no different from the children that I work with in Canada on a daily basis except that there is no funding for surgeries, therapy, and equipment.”
“A high point of these trips is working beside one of my closest friends I’ve ever had, helping some of the world’s most needy population.”

Ashley’s story
One of the most memorable moments from the trips was helping a child named Ashley, who needed equipment and support to get out of bed and back into a chair. It took a few evenings of work, some problem solving, and a lot of care, but the result was worth it.
Stories like that are why this work matters. The job is never just about equipment; it is about dignity, access and the chance to live more fully.
